Toronto Blue Jays send Santiago Espinal to the Reds + Blue Jays Fantasy Rankings

After much speculation, the Toronto Blue Jays have traded infielder Santiago Espinal to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for right-handed starting pitcher Chris McElvain. McElvain is a young prospect, being drafted in the eighth round of 2022, and spending the 2023 season in Single-A and High-A. With Ernie Clement’s resurgence this spring training, and considering Espinal was out of options, there were not many alternatives to this result. Do you think the Blue Jays should have traded Santiago Espinal? Did the Jays get enough assets in return? With baseball season around the corner, we go into some Toronto Blue Jays Fantasy Rankings, going over where your Blue Jays are being picked, and whether we believe that these rankings are correct.
