Eduardo Escobar is Your Newest Toronto Blue Jay

Toronto Blue Jays have made another signing to contribute to their infield depth: Eduardo Escobar. Eduardo played exclusively at Second and Third base last season. Eduardo Escobar struggled from the left side of the plate last season but made up for it by mashing left-handed pitching from the right side of the plate all season long. For a Toronto Blue Jays team that struggled to drive runners in, this should contribute to the Blue Jays' success for this season. How would you rate this signing? Your hosts analyze some alternative options to signing Justin Turner, comparing his last season's offensive stats to some of the Best Hitters that were on the Free agent market including Jorge Soler, JD Martinez, Brandon Belt, Jeimer Candelerio, Rhys Hoskins, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. We break down how different signings would have impacted the Toronto Blue Jays roster, and if any of these players would have been a better fit for this lineup.
