OKLAHOMA STATE, DREW MESTEMAKER BLOW UP NO. 6 OREGON IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S BIGGEST UPSET!

Absolute bedlam in Stillwater. Oklahoma State didn't just pull off the first true seismic shocker of the 2026 college football season; they completely obliterated a 21-game losing skid against FBS opponents by taking down No. 6 Oregon in a 39-31 thriller at Boone Pickens Stadium. Entering the game as massive 23.5-point underdogs after a dismal opening-week loss to Tulsa, Eric Morris’s squad flipped the script on national title expectations. Quarterback Drew Mestemaker put on a masterclass response, carving up the Ducks through the air and on the ground. Mestemaker racked up 317 passing yards, two touchdowns, and added a staggering 109 yards rushing—including a gritty 10-yard keeper early in the fourth quarter that gave the Cowboys the lead for good. Boone Pickens Stadium was an absolute powder keg as the Cowboys' offense systematically dismantled an overmatched Oregon defense, exposing every single flaw the Ducks tried to hide since Week 1. For a program that hit rock bottom last season, this wasn't just a win—it was an aggressive statement that the Big 12's middle and lower tiers can still inflict catastrophic damage on the sport's supposed elite. Oregon's playoff aspirations are effectively mangled, and Oklahoma State just delivered the most electrifying chaos of the young season.
