Big 12 Bowl CHAOS: BYU, Colorado in Championship What-If, Baylor Kills LSU, Iowa State Owns Miami

A Colorado vs. BYU Bowl Game: A Big 12 Clash with Huge Stakes The prospect of Colorado and BYU meeting in a bowl game would be a spectacle for college football fans, especially as two of the most intriguing members of the new-look Big 12. Both programs bring passionate fan bases, storied histories, and unique storylines to the table, making such a matchup one of the most compelling postseason games imaginable. Two Programs on the Rise Colorado, under the leadership of Deion Sanders, has become one of the most talked-about teams in college football. Coach Prime has reinvigorated the Buffaloes, bringing in top-tier talent through the transfer portal and creating a buzz that extends far beyond Boulder. BYU, meanwhile, has long been a model of consistency, known for its disciplined approach and historic success, including a national championship in 1984. Now in their first seasons as full Big 12 members, both teams have a lot to prove, and a bowl game clash would serve as a statement about their respective trajectories. Clashing Styles and Energies Colorado’s flashy, high-energy playstyle under Sanders contrasts sharply with BYU’s reputation for methodical, physical football. A bowl game would showcase these contrasting philosophies, adding an extra layer of intrigue. The game would likely draw national attention, with storylines centered on Sanders’ charisma and BYU’s tradition-rich program clashing on a big stage. Big 12 Bragging Rights on the Line For the Big 12, a bowl game between Colorado and BYU would highlight the conference's diversity and competitiveness. Both teams representing the league would underscore its depth and make a case for its growing national relevance. Such a matchup wouldn’t just be about winning a trophy; it would be a battle of pride, identity, and the future of Big 12 football. Fans from both sides, and neutrals alike, would be in for a wild ride. For your next listen, check out the Locked On College Football podcast !
