DISMISSED: Florida State FIRES Mike Norvell – Top Candidates EMERGE, Is Jimbo Fisher RETURNING?

Florida State shakes up college football by firing Mike Norvell, triggering a high-stakes search for its next head coach. Names like Manny Diaz, Eli Drinkwitz, and Jimbo Fisher are in the mix, while the program faces key questions about AD selection, NIL funding, and its standing as a premier ACC job. Can Florida State attract a true “riser,” or will a familiar face return to Tallahassee?

NC State turns heads with a reported deal to name Philip Rivers their next head coach. The discussion examines whether Rivers—fresh from the high school ranks—can replicate college football success and what staff moves and financial backing will be needed to support the Wolfpack. Plus, Wake Forest’s dominant run and the ACC’s lack of respect in the latest College Football Playoff rankings spark debate over strength of schedule, conference reputation, and which teams truly deserve postseason glory.
