POSTCAST: Sixers come up short in 0T vs Rockets, fall 122-115

Despite 39 points and 10 assists from Tyrese Maxey the 76ers fell to the Houston Rockets 122-115 in overtime Wednesday night. The Sixers came out sluggish in the first quarter while Houston, who was coming off an overtime victory in Minnesota just 24 hours earlier, outscored the Sixers in the opening frame 35-24. Maxey and Company were able to cut the deficit to just four points by the end of the first half. Late in the third quarter and through the 4th the Sixers started to take control of the game mounting a comeback including an 8-0 run at the end of the fourth quarter to force overtime. Maxey Was a huge part of that run sinking 3 free throws with 11 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 108. In the extra period the Sixers jumped out to a three nothing lead, their largest lead of the night on a Guerschon Yabusele corner three. However the rockets would respond by getting the benefit of a controversial call the top of the key that awarded Jalen Green 3 free throws. He would sink then all and it was all Rockets after that. Carter finished with a game high 41points. Your favorite podcast now has a newsletter! In One-stop for ultimate team and league coverage delivered right to your in box.
