76ERS POSTCAST: Grimes' 44pts leads Sixers past Warriors, 126-119
The Philadelphia 76ers snapped their 9-game losing streak, thanks in large part to a career night for newcomer Quentin Grimes who scored 44 points! Segment 1: THREE BIG THINGS: 1) Player of the game: Quentin Grimes scores 44points on the Warriors for a new career high! 2) Grimes’s big night helps lift the sixers in a game that saw Maxey score just 5 points and George net 17, with 12 of those points coming in the 4th quarter. 3) Role Players stepped up other than Grimes; Yabusele, Drummond and Oubre! Segment 2: Turning point of the game came when the Warriors went on a 9-0 run mid-way through the 4th quarter, thanks in part to Paul George back-to-back turnovers! With 4:16 remaining in the game and the score tied at 112, Draymond Green was called for a defensive 3 seconds violation. Tyrese Maxey hit the free throw then assisted on a Guerschon Yabusele three to complete the 4-point possession. That helped the Sixers keep the Warriors in check. – What They’ll be talking about tomorrow? Grimes played Great, Sixers shot Great, Maxey only had 5 POINTS?!?! Great win, but they’re still tanking, right?!?!
