49ERS SQUAD SHOW: Rams Get ROCKED, 49ers Win Season Opener in Australia
The San Francisco 49ers started off the 2026 NFL season strong with a 27-7 shellacking against the Los Angeles Rams today in Melbourne, Australia. Brock Purdy threw three touchdown passes in the win, and the offense overall already looks more explosive than it did last season. On both sides of the ball, the San Francisco 49ers limited the Los Angeles Rams stars, as Matt Stafford did not throw a touchdown pass, Puka Nacua only caught 5 of the 9 passes that came his way, and Myles Garrett did not record a single tackle or quarterback hit. All in all, this was about as good of a start to the season as you could ask for.
