49ERS SQUAD SHOW: BIG PLAYS Everywhere for 49ers in Preseason Matchup With Chargers
The San Francisco 49ers showed off some big-time playmaking ability tonight in their win over the Los Angeles Chargers in their second preseason game of the year. Brock Purdy and the rest of the first-team offense played 12 snaps together, and the quarterback connected with fast-rising rookie De'Zhaun Stribling on three of those plays. Stribling continued to show off his strong hands after Mac Jones relieved Brock Purdy of his duties, and rookie running back Kaelon Black also showed off some burst tonight. But the biggest play of the evening came courtesy of Jacob Cowing, who took a punt 83 yards to paydirt and seemingly solidified his spot on the 53-man roster.
