Across two originals and a remix from returning duo Overproof, the release explores the darker side of Breakbeat, Electro and UKG. Opening the release is Depthcharge, a collaboration between Pundit and Agora. The track delivers moody Breaks, with a heavy Acid low-end and atmospheric elements in the breakdowns. Pundit follows up solo with Eclipse, pushing into slightly different territory, closer to an Electro style sound. It provides more aggressive breaks and a driving heavyweight bassline. To close the EP, Overproof return for their third appearance on QRUK with a UK Garage / Breaks rework of Depthcharge. It features their textbook tightly programmed drums, with basslines that demonstrates their unmistakable style. Having emerged from Brighton's bass music scene, before relocating to South London, Pundit's sound has evolved through UK Garage, UK Funky, Breaks and Acid 303s, making Depthcharge a natural introduction to his sound on the QRUK.
