Midnight Totem - The Apocalyptic Sadness

Midnight Totem - Mermaid on Meds BUY LINK: https://syrinxmusicfr.bandcamp.com/album/midnight-totem-mermaid-on-meds-2 Label: Syrinx Music (https://soundcloud.com/syrinx_music) https://www.instagram.com/syrinx_music/ Follow Midnight Totem (https://soundcloud.com/midnight_totem) https://www.instagram.com/midnight_totem/ After a short summer break, we at Syrinx Music are back with our heaviest release yet, and the return of Rennes’ Midnight Totem to the label. Following on her last album, Persephone, released two years ago on Syrinx, Midnight Totem expands on her lo-fi, melancholy sound while immersing in the more intense side of her output. Mermaid on Meds is a ravey, fast techno take on the Midnight Totem sound, making extensive use of higher BPMs and pounding drums, in line with her fierce live sets. This, however, is far from a linear journey: at the core of Mermaid on Meds lie the same melodic, narrative & wistful qualities as ever with Midnight Totem, reaching surrealistic tones on tracks such as “The Notorious Warning” or “In Betsuni We Trust”. Need we say we are really pleased to welcome this new Midnight Totem full-length on our label?
