Stapleford Park Estate Up for Sale | Leicester News

A historic 48-bedroom mansion in Leicestershire, Stapleford Park, is up for sale for £18 million after abruptly closing as a hotel and wedding venue last year, leaving 92 staff jobless. Once a glamorous hotspot hosting royalty, Michael Jackson, and Guns N’ Roses, the estate boasts 54 acres, Capability Brown gardens, tennis courts, an indoor pool, sauna, wellness center, and even planning permission for eight more cottages — all while its deconsecrated church remains off-market. With a rich 16th-century heritage and untapped potential, this grand property’s future hangs in the balance as liquidators admit it simply couldn’t turn a profit.
