Somerset Smash Leicestershire by 377 | Leicester News

Somerset just shattered records with a colossal 377-run demolition of Leicestershire, setting a championship-altering pace as they chase their first-ever title. Clocking in at 523, Leicestershire collapsed to 145 — their worst defeat ever — while Henry Nicholls smashed his maiden century and Craig Overton dominated with four wickets. The win gives Somerset 22 vital points, keeping them five ahead of Warwickshire, who also triumphed to keep the pressure on. With crunch matches against Yorkshire and Surrey looming, Somerset’s historic run hinges on maintaining this fire — and if they do, it’ll be etched into county cricket lore.
