Seventy-Four-Year-Old Convicted for Child Abuse | Leicester News

A 74-year-old man, Terrance Taylor, is behind bars for six years after a decades-old sexual assault on a child was finally reported — and he’s now facing life-altering consequences. The victim, now an adult, bravely came forward this year, leading to his arrest and conviction on multiple counts of child sexual assault. Despite denying everything during interrogation, Taylor couldn’t explain why the victim would fabricate such a horrific story. Detective Katie Harris praised the survivor’s courage, hoping her testimony will empower others to speak out no matter how long ago the abuse occurred. Leicestershire Police are urging anyone with similar stories to come forward — justice isn’t too late. Taylor also faces a permanent sex offender registration and a lifetime restraining order, cutting off all contact with the victim forever.
