Parents Risk Kids' Safety at School | Leicester News

Parents at Forest Lodge Academy in Leicester are turning dangerous driving into a daily routine—blocking crosswalks, parking on yellow zigzag lines, and ignoring traffic rules during school drop-off. With three crashes already reported and years of escalating chaos, residents fear a major accident is imminent. Leicestershire Police stepped in on September 11, issuing warnings and threatening fines for rule-breakers, while the school reinforces safety messages to parents. Together, they’re hoping common sense and enforcement can restore calm and protect kids on their way to and from school.
