Man Kicks Police Officer, Threatens Public

A police officer in Leicestershire was assaulted during an incident involving a man, Stuart Lowe, who was reportedly banging on doors and shouting threats. Lowe, who has a history of similar incidents, kicked the officer in the face while in the back of a police van. He has pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker, using threatening behavior, and criminal damage to the police van. Lowes representative attributes his bad behavior to binge drinking, and he has expressed remorse. The magistrates have requested a full probation report and warned Lowe that assaulting an emergency worker often leads to imprisonment. DNN | The Daily News Now!
