Man Jailed for Wedding Car Attack
On November seventh, Govinder Singh, a 28-year-old man, was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for intentionally driving his car into a crowd at a wedding party in Leicester earlier this year. He also received a 12-year driving ban. The incident occurred on May thirty-first when Singh deliberately accelerated into a group of people, causing severe injuries. He then fled the scene, claiming it was an accident. However, his actions resulted in a woman suffering a permanent disability, her partner being struck, and Singhs own cousin being hospitalized with serious injuries. Singh pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was described by the court as having committed a shocking and violent attack. DNN | The Daily News Now!
