Loughborough Residents Back New Town Council

Loughborough residents overwhelmingly support the creation of a new town council, with 77% of respondents in favor during a public consultation. The proposed council would manage local public services, currently lacking in the town. The Charnwood Borough Council, which is set to dissolve due to a government-mandated shake-up, supports the idea. A further public consultation is planned for March, with potential elections in May 2027. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story. AI powered.
