Leicester's Possession Play Under Fire | Leicester News

Leicester City’s high-possession strategy is under fire after a humiliating 4-0 loss to Oxford United, leaving them at rock bottom in League One — their lowest-ever league position. Former defender Matt Heath, speaking from experience, warns that while possession can work in elite leagues, it’s too risky with the current squad in a lower division. He highlights how mistakes starting from deep can look disastrous and further alienate fans already frustrated by back-to-back relegations. Despite players’ faith in the manager’s system, results are raising serious doubts about whether this approach can win games or rebuild trust with supporters.
