Leicester's Border Expansion: A Contentious Issue

Leicesters city mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, proposes expanding city boundaries, facing opposition from three Conservative MPs who label it a land and tax grab. Soulsby defends the plan, aiming to simplify council structures and correct historical injustices. The proposal is one of three local government reorganization submissions expected before the government this week. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city.
