Laughing Gas Bust in Belgrave Gate | Leicester News

Leicestershire Police made a major drug bust at Snack Shop in Belgrave Gate, seizing over 4,500 dollars worth of nitrous oxide canisters — a substance now illegal for recreational use since 2023. Officers from the dedicated 16 Beat Team targeted the St Matthew’s area as part of their ongoing crackdown on city center drug activity. With serious health risks tied to “laughing gas,” authorities are sending a clear message: this isn’t just a minor offense. If you’ve got tips, call 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
