Council Van Blocks School Path | Leicester News

A Leicester City Council van was caught parked on double yellow lines outside a school, blocking sidewalks and junctions — right next to a sign warning of danger to children. This blatant disregard for road safety comes amid existing concerns about dangerous parking in the area, exposing a troubling double standard when the council’s own vehicle flouts rules it enforces on the public. A resident reported the incident, sparking outrage over the message it sends to communities. The council has launched an investigation and pledged to hold the driver accountable, vowing all staff must set a safety example — a crucial step to restore trust as the probe continues.
