Is Paradise Inside the Earth? Jesus, Sheol & the Ascension of Isaiah | Ep. 56
What if Paradise wasn't originally in Heaven... but somewhere deep inside the Earth? In Episode 56 of the Ancient Roots of Life & Wellness Podcast, JT and Josh Truex of Modern Roots Life investigate one of the most fascinating mysteries in biblical theology: Where did Jesus go during the three days between His crucifixion and resurrection?Jesus promised the thief on the cross that he would be with Him in Paradise that very day. But Jesus also spoke of spending three days and three nights in the heart of the Earth. How do these passages fit together? We explore Sheol, Hades, Abraham's Bosom, the Gospel of Nicodemus, and the Book of Enoch before continuing our study of the Ascension of Isaiah, Chapter 4.In this episode: Was Paradise once located beneath the Earth? What happened when Jesus descended into Hades? Does the resurrection in Matthew 27 challenge our understanding of the end times? Where is the Camp of the Saints in Revelation 20? Could the lost grandeur of Old World architecture connect to the Millennial Kingdom? Does the Ascension of Isaiah describe Nero as Beliar? How does this ancient prophecy compare with Revelation and the writings of Paul? Why is Wisdom described in feminine language in some ancient texts? We're asking difficult questions, comparing scripture with ancient writings, and exploring interpretations that challenge conventional end-times theology.Support the podcast: Find us on Patreon for early and uncensored episodes.Sponsor: Modern Roots Life — support Josh and discover what Modern Roots Life has to offer. What do YOU think?
