Saturday, April 4, 2026 - Was this a fine Saturday crossword? YESINDEEDY!

This was Royce Ferguson's third Saturday NYTimes crossword, and it was highly enjoyable. It was not a walk in the park, but neither was it the "scale El Capitan by one's teeth" type of puzzle that it could have been — and for which we are grateful.
