US Military Plans for Iran Conflict Ahead of Midterms

US military preparations for a potential conflict with Iran are reportedly underway, with IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir briefed on Pentagon plans targeting Iranian missiles, drones, and energy facilities. This development, which could impact Israeli elections, comes amid ongoing attacks on shipping and the disruption of an AI-driven Iranian propaganda operation. Domestically, a political dispute has emerged regarding accountability for the October 7th attack, with claims and counter-claims concerning intelligence failures and official records, prompting calls for a state commission of inquiry. Meanwhile, an Israeli politician faced verbal abuse with antisemitic insults from Haredi protesters.
