Three Years On: Defense, Blame, and Diaspora Threats

As Israel marks three years since the October 7 massacre, we assess the IDF's enhanced preparedness for future invasions, contrasting with differing narratives on the attack. Former official Brett McGurk reveals the US received no advance warning, while concerns over rising antisemitism prompt new security advisories and scrutiny of New York City's anti-hate strategy. Domestically, a poll shows Israelis blame the government and IDF equally for October 7th failures, with significant responsibility placed on Prime Minister Netanyahu. We also cover an East Jerusalem demolition, archaeological findings, and the IDF's upcoming crackdown on draft evaders. Topics include IDF, Hamas, October 7, Gaza, West Bank, Brett McGurk, US policy, antisemitism, New York City, Zohran Mamdani, Israeli politics, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Tel Shikmona.
