Tehran's Shadow Looms as Israel Marks October 7th

Israel faces mounting tensions with Iran, with signs pointing toward a potential war, as concerns rise about the worst occurring during the upcoming October 7th anniversary. Intelligence indicates Hamas is planning attacks on IDF soldiers in Gaza on that day, leading to a heightened IDF alert and warnings of severe repercussions. Aviation security is under scrutiny following an attempted hijacking aboard a Flydubai flight, revealing failures by the Transportation Ministry to secure foreign flights. In New York, Consul-General Ofir Akunis has invited Mayor Zohran Mamdani to view the October 7th massacre film, linking the mayor's rhetoric to rising antisemitism. Updates also cover domestic politics, including MK Benny Gantz's remarks, a military arrest incident, and economic aid for airlines.
