Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 30, 2026, 09 AM Eastern

A Flydubai flight was diverted to Saudi Arabia following an alleged mid-air hijacking attempt and altercation, which passengers helped to thwart. The incident has prompted a political response, including calls to halt flights, and sparked public debate on airline safety. Meanwhile, Iran's aviation sector faces further pressure as U.S. sanctions contribute to the seizure of a Caspian Airlines plane in Istanbul. In a sign of resilience, Northern Israel is showing a growing sense of normalcy, with former wartime fortifications now serving as playgrounds and tourists returning to communities.
