Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 28, 2026, 09 AM Eastern

On Israel Today: Ongoing War Report, we begin with Iran's increasing attacks on Kurdish groups in Iraq following the US withdrawal, as Tehran seeks to preempt potential uprisings. We then turn to rising antisemitism concerns, including extremist rhetoric from an Australian preacher and Israel's diplomatic protest against comments from a Spanish minister. Diplomatic efforts are underway, with mediators engaging the US and Iran on a new proposal, while Prime Minister Netanyahu addresses claims about pre-October 7th warnings and alleges a foreign-backed campaign against his government. We also cover the resumption of direct flights between Israel and India, and the Global Jewish Teachers Award celebrating educators worldwide.
