Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 28, 2026, 04 AM Eastern

UK counter-terrorism forces have foiled a bomb plot targeting a US-linked airbase, with investigators considering Iranian involvement a leading possibility. Meanwhile, new reports from The Wall Street Journal allege Egypt's intelligence chief warned Prime Minister Netanyahu that Gaza was a 'tinderbox' days before the October 7th attacks, a claim denied by the Prime Minister. The episode also covers IDF ground force advances near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, ongoing settler activity in Jerusalem, and significant domestic political developments including warnings about Palestinian elections and statements by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Plus, diplomatic shifts as Morocco and Israel prepare to upgrade ties to full embassies, and moments of communal observance with a large Birkat Kohanim prayer at the Western Wall.
