Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 23, 2026, 12 PM Eastern

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to address the UN General Assembly, focusing on Iran and global hypocrisy regarding October 7th. Meanwhile, Iran's diplomatic overtures are described by experts as 'theater' by the IRGC, even as maritime attacks continue. Israel has bolstered its naval capabilities with the arrival of the advanced INS Drakon submarine amid regional threats. In security news, an IDF soldier was seriously wounded in a car-ramming terror attack in the West Bank, and five troops were injured in Syria during a rescue operation. Domestically, the Central Elections Committee has barred the Arab party Ra'am and MK Ofer Cassif from the upcoming Knesset elections. Plus, progressive Jewish leaders call on Kamala Harris to address Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed's past remarks, citing antisemitic rhetoric.
