Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 23, 2026, 05 AM Eastern

Today's report begins with escalating regional tensions, as Jordan's King Abdullah II warns of a 'regional threat' from Israel's actions in Syria, while Iran continues its proxy operations and Prime Minister Netanyahu prepares to address the UN on Iran. We cover significant security developments: the IDF's elimination of Hamas's finance chief in Gaza and the arrest of a Fatah operative in the West Bank. The report also examines Israel's growing diplomatic isolation, challenges in its relationship with the US, and controversy surrounding French President Macron's UN remarks. Domestic political maneuvers, including opposition coordination and debates over West Bank administration, are also discussed, alongside a personal story of resilience.
