Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 22, 2026, 02 AM Eastern

World leaders gather at the UN General Assembly this week, confronting critical issues like the war with Iran and the future of Gaza. Meanwhile, in Iraq, pro-Iranian Shi'ite militias have rejected a government ultimatum to disarm, prompting Israeli and US concerns of potential attacks. Regional tensions also rise as Houthis escalate attacks on Saudi Arabia, drawing US warnings. On the US-Israel front, Prime Minister Netanyahu's brief UN visit highlights diplomatic engagements, and the alliance is seen as shifting towards technological partnership. We also cover an incident in New York where a Palestinian activist spoke at a Yom Kippur event, drawing attention for his strong condemnation of Israel.
