Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 19, 2026, 09 AM Eastern

This hour on Israel Today, we report on significant regional developments. Houthi forces have intensified their control over the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, coinciding with an Iraqi militia drone attack on a Saudi oil pipeline, demonstrating coordinated action by an Iran-led alliance to influence maritime traffic. We also cover a border incident in southern Lebanon, where two Israeli soldiers were lightly wounded by a Hezbollah explosive device, prompting an IDF response. In diplomatic news, Australia has withdrawn from a UK-led initiative to sanction Israeli West Bank settlements. Finally, we detail a sentencing in Maine for online threats made against Jewish people and other figures.
