Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 18, 2026, 06 PM Eastern

The report opens with developments in Yemen, where Iran-backed Houthis are expanding their reach into the country's east, with limited US engagement. A new poll indicates a majority of American Jews believe Prime Minister Netanyahu's actions are contributing to rising antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment in the US, despite strong overall pro-Israel sentiment. We also cover reports of a significant underground explosion carried out by the IDF in northern Gaza, an Israeli national's release from an Iraqi prison, domestic political news including a family's protest petition and a new tool for immigrants, and a Hebrew language school's 18th anniversary.
