Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - September 16, 2026, 01 PM Eastern

Key developments tonight include a major Houthi advance in Yemen, seizing territory overlooking the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and marking a significant setback for Saudi Arabia, amid reports of Russian satellite assistance to Iran for regional attacks. In Gaza, the IDF eliminated a Nukhba commander in Khan Yunis, while a building collapse in Gaza City killed 21 people. A new poll from the West Bank indicates a majority of Palestinians believe Israel lacks the right to exist. We also cover the conviction of individuals in Israel for an alleged Iranian plot and the sentencing of an operative for spying for Iran.
