Israel Today: Ongoing War Report - October 1, 2026, 04 PM Eastern

US President Donald Trump warns of severe US retaliation if Iran is confirmed to be linked to the Flydubai flight incident, as a joint investigation proceeds. Former hostage Eli Sharabi urges the UN Human Rights Council to recognize hostage treatment in Gaza as torture, while the Commander of the Gaza Division provides operational updates. Domestically, a government official faces fraud charges, and the Kasao family's ongoing search for their missing daughter Haymanot gains political attention. Plus, a report on hostile reactions to a victim's testimony highlights ongoing antisemitism.
