Israel Orders UK Consulate Closure in East Jerusalem

Tensions are high as Israel orders the closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem in response to UK sanctions on settlements in Judea and Samaria, impacting bilateral relations. Israel's Ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, has sharply condemned New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for accusing Israel of genocide on the third anniversary of October 7, calling it antisemitism and Hamas propaganda. Meanwhile, the United States expresses concern over a potential Iranian surprise attack, with the Pentagon preparing for a large-scale strike. In southern Lebanon, Hezbollah operatives are reportedly maintaining a presence despite pilot programs for the Lebanese Army. The UAE has also revoked landing permits for Israeli airlines, complicating repatriation efforts. Domestically, Minister Amichai Chikli faces accusations of racism for mocking opposition leader Avigdor Liberman's accent. Reports also detail IDF tank fire in Rafah.
