Two Guys: Jared Benko takes over as Iowa State's Director of Athletics, Big 12 makes a statement

Iowa State introduces new athletic director Jared Benko, the Big 12 makes a statement on the national stage, and the Iowa Hawkeyes face big questions coming out of the bye week. Chris Williams and Chris Hassel break it all down on Two Guys. The guys share their impressions of Benko and Iowa State President David Cook, discuss the transition from Jamie Pollard, and examine what the new leadership could mean for the future of Cyclone Athletics. They also look at Benko’s background, his Iowa State connections, and the need to keep pace with the changing world of college sports. Plus, BYU’s win over Notre Dame and a strong weekend for the Big 12 spark a conversation about the College Football Playoff, conference strength, and the debate over which leagues deserve more spots. The guys also react to Nebraska’s heartbreaking finish against Oregon, Penn State’s struggles, and other major college football storylines. And with Iowa State preparing for Arizona and Iowa getting ready to return to action, Chris and Chris revisit the Hawkeyes’ quarterback debate, discuss what needs to change, and look ahead to the next stretch of the season.
