The Art of Becoming a Creative Writer

Listen to episode 990 of the Inspirational Living podcast: Becoming a Creative Writer | Learning to See Again. Adapted from Becoming a Writer by Dorothea Brande.

Inspirational Podcast Excerpt: The genius keeps, for all their days, the vividness and intensity of interest that a sensitive child feels in its expanding world. Many of US keep this wide-eyed interest well into adolescence; but very few mature men and women are fortunate enough to preserve it in their routine lives.

Most of us are only intermittently aware, even in youth, and the occasions on which adults see and feel and hear (with every sense alert) become rarer and rarer with the passage of the years.
