UNC's $20 Million Roster - IC Daily | Inside Carolina | College Basketball

On Wednesday, Inside Carolina’s Sherrell McMillan reported on how North Carolina’s roster came together under new coach Michael Malone. From retaining current players to traveling the globe searching for talent, Malone and his coaching staff worked tirelessly in evaluating and locating talented players in short order, to field a competitive roster in 2026-27.

Senior reporter Greg Barnes followed up McMillan’s work with a piece on the other side of the coin when it comes to college rosters now - the financial side. Barnes joins Tommy Ashley to discuss UNC Basketball’s $20 million roster, how it came together, why it came together and finally the process of keeping up with the markets to stay competitive in the new era of college basketball.
