Guy Montgomery on the jokes that didn't land

Today, we speak with award-winning comedian, and TV personality, Guy Montgomery. Guy moved to Canada and New York to pursue his stand-up comedy career. He’s appeared regularly on Australian game shows, Thank God You’re Here, and Have You Been Paying Attention, and he hosts his very own, Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee, which is an absolute joy to watch. In this conversation, Guy shares why he chose to move to the other side of the world to give stand-up a crack, the jokes that didn’t land at New York open mic nights, the pre-show ritual that calms his nerves, and the genesis of Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont spelling bee. As mentioned in today’s conversation, Guy has been nominated for best new talent at this year’s Logie awards. If you’d like to support Guy, you can vote here.
