Colts Shift Play-Calling Midseason | Indianapolis Colts News

Colts defense is shaking up their play-calling after a messy game against the Ravens — safety Cam Bynum’s green-dot play-calling experiment didn’t pan out under pressure. Now, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither will take over from the middle, where he can better coordinate the front seven and streamline communication. Bynum is relieved to finally focus on his coverage duties without the mental load of calling plays. This mid-season pivot aims to fix costly breakdowns and tighten defensive execution — a bold move that could reshape how the defense operates moving forward.
