Colts PFF Grades: Line Wins, Defense Struggles | Indianapolis Colts News

Colts’ season opener stung, but PFF grades reveal bright spots and glaring flaws: Matt Goncalves and Quenton Nelson led the offensive line’s solid pass protection, while Alec Pierce shined in receiving. On defense, Arden Key stood out with a sack and pressures, but the secondary struggled badly—no top-tier grades came from there. Drew Ogletree, AJ Haulcy, and Charvarius Ward all posted dismal marks, signaling coverage woes. The grades aren’t gospel, but they paint a clear picture: offense held steady despite the loss, defense needs urgent fixes, and some players are ready to step up as the season unfolds.
