Colts Defense Learns From Ravens Loss | Indianapolis Colts News

The Colts’ defense got shredded for over 500 yards in a brutal loss to the Ravens, but head coach Lou Anarumo’s honest assessment—calling it a “bad game”—is paired with unwavering confidence in turning things around. Communication breakdowns and rookie adjustments are under the microscope, especially with safety handling play-calling for the first time and cornerback Justin Walley holding his own despite a tough matchup. Anarumo backs Walley’s practice grit and sees his growth ahead. At linebacker, rookies CJ Allen and Jaylon Carlies are getting reps as Akeem Davis-Gaither rotates in, with patience and progress being the mantra. Now, the focus shifts squarely to beating the Chiefs—with film study, communication fixes, and coverage improvements at the core of their comeback mission.
