Colts Acquire Sauce Gardner, Boosting Defense

The Indianapolis Colts have made a game-changing move at the trade deadline, acquiring star cornerback Sauce Gardner. Known for his exceptional coverage skills and ability to disrupt offenses, Gardner's addition has generated excitement, with coach Shane Steichen praising his elite traits. The 25-year-old, two-time All-Pro has allowed a mere 50% completion rate and has tallied 36 pass breakups and 3 interceptions. His versatility in coverage schemes is expected to elevate the defense, particularly benefiting the pass rush. Despite currently in concussion protocol, Gardner is set to practice on Wednesday and could make his debut against the Atlanta Falcons in Week ten. This move is seen as a major boost for a team already performing well, with the Colts sitting atop the AFC with a 7-2 record. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network.
