Colts Acquire All-Pro CB Sauce Gardner

The Indianapolis Colts make a game-changing move, acquiring two-time All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets. This blockbuster trade strengthens the Colts' cornerback position, with Gardner set to wear his familiar number one jersey. Wide receiver Josh Downs switches to number two, previously worn by his brother. The trade, finalized just before the NFL deadline, signals the Colts' commitment to improving their defense. Gardner, a 25-year-old with a 50% completion rate against him, joins a talented cornerback room and is under contract for the next five-plus seasons. Colts General Manager Chris Ballard praises Gardner's skills and competitive spirit, expecting him to elevate the entire defensive unit. DNN | The Daily News Now!
