Building Up Faith

The sermon exhorts believers to maintain their spiritual progress by building upon the foundational truths of the gospel, praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping themselves in God's love, and looking forward to Christ's mercy. It contrasts true Christian faith with false teachings that misuse grace for immorality, emphasizing the necessity of doctrinal purity and personal holiness. The preacher highlights prayer as a vital indicator of spiritual health, urging both private devotion and corporate worship guided by the Spirit. Additionally, the message stresses the importance of enduring in God's love amidst the danger of apostasy and anticipating eternal life through the mercy of Jesus Christ. Finally, the text serves as a call to active perseverance, warning against complacency while encouraging expectant hope in the Lord's return.
