Ryan Guzman of 9-1-1

This week, Tommy is joined by actor Ryan Guzman, best known for his starring role in the smash hit drama series 9-1-1, currently airing Season 7 on ABC. 9-1-1 is one of the most watched shows on primetime television, chronicling the high-pressure experiences of first responders who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. What makes this show even more special is that we see what happens after these characters hang up their firefighting gear. Today, Ryan opens up about his journey playing Eddie, how being in 9-1-1 helped him feel like he finally belonged as an actor, the storyline that will forever hold a special place in his heart, why he is proud of Buck for coming out as bisexual, if he’s tired of being asked if his character will spark up a romance with Buck, what the future of Eddie’s love life may look like, if we will ever see that famous karaoke scene that got cut from the show, what it was like filming Eddie’s mental health breakdown, what Ryan has most learned about himself through playing this character over so many years, how he’s learned that showing an unpolished version of yourself is so much healthier than pretending to be something you're not, and working through his own struggles with mental health.
