Katherine Knight: The life of Australia's most shocking female killer | Roje Augustin Pt. 1

What Katherine Knight did to her partner John Price wasn't just murder, it was something far more twisted. Katherine was a woman consumed by two things: a crippling fear of abandonment, and an insatiable need for control, enforced through violence, manipulation, and sexual exploitation. Most Australians know the horror of how John Price died. What they don't know is the decades-long history of abuse Katherine inflicted on the men in her life, and anyone else she deemed an obstacle. Which raises an uncomfortable question, if a man had done to women what Katherine did to men, would he have been stopped years earlier?

In this episode of I Catch Killers, Gary Jubelin is joined by Rojé Augustin, whose new book The Butcher of Aberdeen, delves into Katherine’s chilling past shaped by childhood trauma, violent relationships, and a relentless descent into madness.

Rojé Augustin is the author of The Butcher of Aberdeen: An Australian Story of Sex, Madness, and Murder.
